Anthracite aluminium double entrance doors with glazed sidelights on a commercial building in Glasgow
Jack Aluminium · Fitted by our own team

Aluminium Commercial Doors: Built for Thousands of Openings a Day

A commercial door lives a harder life than any door in a house. It is opened hundreds or thousands of times a day, leaned on, kicked, left open, slammed shut, and still expected to keep the building secure every night.

The systems we fit

Jack Aluminium, thermal or non-thermal

TD

Jack Aluminium TD68: thermally broken

The choice for any heated building. Door leaves up to 1300mm wide and 3m tall, tested to PAS 24 with the right hardware, and compatible with access control and panic hardware. It keeps heat in a reception or hallway that a non-thermal door would leak straight out.

JD

Jack Aluminium JD47: non-thermal

For unheated spaces, internal doors, shopping-centre units and budget refits. Robust, fast to fit, and available with a choice of header-bar options.

Hardware, glass and finish

  • Locking: multi-point locks, hook-bolt deadlocks, electric strikes and maglocks
  • Access control ready: compatible with buzz entry, keypad, fob, swipe card and intercom systems
  • Closers: concealed overhead closers, floor springs, hold-open and delayed-action options
  • Exit hardware: push bars and touch bars for fire exits
  • Accessibility: low thresholds, wide leaves and DDA-compliant handles
  • Kick and push plates: stainless steel, for doors that take a beating
  • Glass: toughened or laminated as standard, with security, obscure glass and safety manifestation available
  • Colour: any RAL colour, powder-coated, with dual colour inside and out to match your shop front, windows or brand

  • Fitting scheduled for your quietest times

  • Old doors removed and disposed of

What does a commercial door cost?

Every commercial door is specified for its building, so we don’t publish prices. Size, single or double leaf, thermal or non-thermal, glazing and, most of all, the hardware all change the figure. Send us the address and a photo of the existing door and we’ll arrange a free site survey and a fixed, itemised quote.

FAQs

Your questions answered

Thermal or non-thermal, which do I need?

If the space behind the door is heated, thermal (TD68). If it is an unheated lobby, an internal door or a shopping-centre unit, non-thermal (JD47) does the job for less.

Can you fit a communal door for a tenement close?

Yes. We fit communal entrance doors with closers built for constant use and PAS 24 security, for factors, owners and landlords.

How long does it take?

Most single doors are fitted in half a day. We will confirm timings at survey.

Do you supply fire exit doors?

Yes, with panic bars and emergency exit hardware. For fire-rated doors (FD30), see our composite fire doors page.

Do you cover outside Glasgow and Stirling?

Yes, across Scotland including Falkirk, Lanarkshire, Dunbartonshire, Renfrewshire and Perthshire, and Edinburgh on request.
