Matching Windows & Doors: One House, One Look

Most window companies buy doors from one place, windows from another and hardware from wherever’s cheapest that week. The result is a front door in a slightly different white from the windows beside it, a different profile, and a handle that doesn’t match anything. It’s the detail people notice without knowing why.

We don’t do that. Here’s how every product we fit is designed to match.

uPVC: one profile, one colour, one frame

Windows. Casement, flush sash, vertical sliding sash, tilt and turn, fully reversible and bays are all VEKA, in the same profile family and the same colour run, so every window on the house matches.

Doors. VEKA uPVC doors and French doors are made from the same profile as the windows. And every composite door we fit, Solidor, Portico or Hurst, is hung in a VEKA Halo frame, the same profile and colour as your VEKA windows. The door frame and the window frame beside it are identical in shape, finish and shade.

Colour. A wide range of colour combinations ex-stock, with the door frame, sidelights, toplights and windows all from the same foil.

Aluminium: one system per project

Sheerline. Windows, French doors, entrance doors, bifolds, lift and slide patio doors and the roof lantern share one profile family and one colour run. Choose Sheerline and every frame on the extension matches edge to edge, from the window to the lantern overhead.

Cortizo. Windows, French doors, bifolds and sliders share another. Same rule.

We don’t mix the two on one elevation.

Hardware: ERA and Fab&Fix throughout

Window handles, door handles, hinges, letterplates, knockers and escutcheons all come from the ERA and Fab&Fix ranges, in matching finishes such as chrome, gold, black, graphite and white. The handle on the back door matches the handle on the kitchen window. See colours, finishes and hardware.

Cills, bars and glass

Cills are colour-matched and welded on bays for one continuous line. Georgian and astragal bars run in the same pattern across windows and door glass. Obscure glass patterns match between a bathroom window and a door side panel. See glass and glazing.

Mixing uPVC and aluminium

Plenty of homes do: aluminium bifolds, sliders and a lantern on the extension, uPVC windows on the rest of the house. We colour-match across the two as closely as the systems allow, and the hardware finish carries through.
