Design Your Window: Eight Decisions, in the Order They Actually Come Up
Most people don’t need every decision explained at once, just the next one. This walks through the choices in the order they naturally arise, linking to the detail exactly when you need it.
Choose the material
uPVC is the value, low-maintenance default; aluminium gives slimmer frames and a contemporary finish for a higher price. See uPVC vs aluminium.
Choose the system
VEKA for uPVC; Sheerline or Cortizo for aluminium. See aluminium windows.
Choose the style
Casement, flush sash, vertical sliding sash, tilt and turn, fully reversible, bay or bow.
Choose the configuration
Single opener, side-hung pair, fixed centre with opening sides, top-hung vents, French-style, mullioned runs, shaped and arched. Any shape or size.
Choose the colour, finish and cill
Foils and powder-coats inside and out; 85mm, 150mm or 225mm cill. See colours and hardware.
Choose the glass
Double, triple (£90 extra) or acoustic; obscure, solar control, integrated blinds, etched. See glass and glazing.
Choose the hardware
ERA and Fab&Fix handles and hinges in a matching or contrasting finish.
