Aluminium French Doors: Slim Frames, Any Colour, Matched to the Rest of the Project
Aluminium French doors give you the classic double-door opening with frames much slimmer than uPVC, glass almost to the edge, and any colour you like. They’re the natural choice for an extension, a contemporary home, or anywhere you’ve already chosen aluminium windows, bifolds or a roof lantern and want the doors to match exactly.

We fit two systems, Sheerline and Cortizo, so we can match whichever the rest of your project is built in. Fitted by our own installers across Glasgow, Stirling and Scotland.
The classic opening, with a lot more glass
Slimmer frames, more glass
Aluminium is stronger than uPVC, so the frames can be much narrower and the doors read as glass, not frame.
Any colour, for good
Powder-coated in any RAL shade, matt, satin or textured, with different colours inside and out. Never needs repainting.
One system, one look
Sheerline French doors match Sheerline windows, bifolds, sliders and lanterns. Cortizo French doors match Cortizo windows, bifolds and sliders. Choose one and every frame on the extension matches.
Made to measure
Sidelights, toplights and continuous frames made to fit your opening.

Warm frames, not cold metal
A thermal break inside every profile stops the cold coming through the frame. Double glazed as standard, with triple glazing available.
Secure by design
Multi-point locking as standard, with strong aluminium frames and internally glazed units, so the glass can’t be removed from outside.

Sheerline French doors
Designed and made in Britain. Choose a stepped sash for a traditional feel or a contemporary sash for a clean, minimal look, with sidelights and toplights available. For period homes, a heritage style with a stepped profile gives the look of early 20th-century steel doors.
Cortizo French doors
Cortizo French doors come from the same system family as the Cortizo windows we fit, so the sightlines, colour and hardware match exactly. Open in or open out, double or triple glazed, in any RAL colour.
Options for all aluminium French doors
- Sidelights and toplights: fixed glazed panels either side or above, in the same profile
- Glazing: A-rated double glazing as standard, triple glazing, acoustic glazing, solar control, obscure glass, integrated blinds (double glazed units only)
- Hardware: lever and pull handles in matching or contrasting finishes
- Thresholds: standard and low
- Cill options: 85mm stub, 150mm standard or 225mm large
- Trickle vents: optional, recommended
- Steel look: slim glazing bars for an industrial, heritage finish
French doors, bifolds or sliders?
French doors for smaller openings and the traditional double-door look, at the lowest cost.
Bifolds for wider openings where the whole wall should open. See aluminium bifold doors.
Sliders for the biggest panes and no doors swinging in or out. See aluminium sliding doors.
Whichever you choose, in Sheerline or Cortizo the frames will match your windows and the roof lantern overhead.
What do aluminium French doors cost in Scotland?
Aluminium French doors cost more than uPVC for the slimmer frames, the colour choice and the thermal technology, and considerably less than a bifold. Price depends on size, system, colour, glazing and whether you’re adding sidelights.
Aluminium French doors start from £2,100 fully fitted, including VAT. We give you one fair, fixed price after a free home survey. No countdown discounts, no pressure.

Stirling showroom →Your questions answered
Sheerline or Cortizo French doors?
Match whichever system the rest of your project uses, so every frame lines up. If you’re starting from scratch, we’ll talk you through both in the showroom and help you choose.
Can I have aluminium French doors with the steel look?
Yes. Slim glazing bars and a stepped heritage profile give the look of early steel doors, without the cold and the upkeep.
Are aluminium French doors cold?
No. Both systems are thermally broken, so the frames stay warm, and they’re available double or triple glazed.
Will they match my bifolds and lantern?
Exactly, if they’re the same system. Sheerline to Sheerline, Cortizo to Cortizo, in the same RAL colour.
Do you fit aluminium French doors outside Glasgow and Stirling?
Yes, across Scotland including Falkirk, Lanarkshire, Dunbartonshire, Renfrewshire and Perthshire.
