We design, supply and install aluminium shop fronts and commercial entrances for retailers, cafés and restaurants, salons, offices, surgeries and letting agents across Glasgow, Stirling and Scotland. Our own team handles everything from survey to final fitting, and we work around your trading hours so you’re not closed longer than you need to be.

What we fit

From a single door to a whole frontage

1

New shop fronts

Full-height glazed frontages with integrated entrance doors, fanlights, sidelights and signage panels, made to your opening.

2

Shop front replacements

Swapping tired timber, steel or old aluminium frontages for a modern, thermally efficient system, usually in a single day’s fitting.

3

Commercial entrance doors

Single and double doors with closers and panic hardware. See our commercial doors page.

4

Glazed screens

Internal glazed walls and partitions using the same slim aluminium profiles.

The systems we use

Jack Aluminium, built for high-traffic buildings

A UK system designed specifically for commercial buildings and used on high-street brands, showrooms, schools and health centres. The doors and the shop front framing match perfectly.

TD

TD68 thermally broken

The choice for any heated premises. One of the most thermally efficient commercial door and shop front systems available, so your heating bills don’t disappear through the glass. Door leaves up to 1300mm wide and 3m high, with hidden closers and low thresholds.

JD

JD47 non-thermal

For unheated units, internal screens, shopping-centre units and budget-conscious refits. Fast to fit, robust, and available with a choice of header-bar options.

Options and specification

  • Glass: toughened or laminated as standard, with laminated security glass, solar control, obscure glass and safety manifestation available
  • Colour: any RAL colour, powder-coated, with dual colour inside and out
  • Doors: swing or pivot, single or double leaf, with DDA-compliant thresholds and handles
  • Security: multi-point locking, PAS 24 tested door sets, panic bars and hook-bolt locks
  • Signage: fascia and signage panels built into the frame
  • Any shape: arched and shaped heads for period shop fronts
  • Ventilation: louvre panels and opening lights where needed

Who we work for

  • Independent retailers and high-street chains
  • Cafés, restaurants, bars and takeaways
  • Hair and beauty salons
  • Estate and letting agents
  • Dental practices, opticians, pharmacies and GP surgeries
  • Offices and serviced workspaces
  • Landlords and property managers refurbishing commercial units

Planning and conservation areas

Shop fronts on listed buildings, or in conservation areas such as Glasgow city centre, the Merchant City, the West End or Stirling’s Old Town, usually need planning consent and sometimes listed building consent. Councils often want traditional proportions and colours retained. Slim aluminium profiles, heritage colours and shaped heads can meet most requirements, and we’ll talk you through the options before you apply.

Some councils also run shop front improvement grants for high streets. If you’re applying for one, we can provide the fixed, itemised quote you’ll need.

Fitting around your business

We know a closed shop earns nothing. We’ll:

  • Survey and quote without disrupting trading
  • Schedule fitting for your quietest day
  • Make the premises secure at the end of every day on multi-day jobs
  • Leave the site clean and ready to open

What does a shop front cost?

Every shop front is designed and made for its building, so we don’t publish prices. Width, height, door configuration, glass, colour and hardware all change the figure. Send us the address and a photo of the frontage and we’ll arrange a free site survey and a fixed, itemised quote.

FAQs

Your questions answered

How long does a shop front replacement take?

Most single-unit shop fronts are fitted in one day. Larger frontages may take two to three, and we will tell you upfront.

Do you fit aluminium shop fronts on listed buildings?

Yes. Slim profiles, heritage colours and shaped heads can meet most councils’ requirements, and we will talk you through the options before you apply.

Which system do I need, thermal or non-thermal?

If the shop is heated, the thermally broken TD68. For unheated units, internal screens and shopping-centre units, the non-thermal JD47.

Do you cover outside Glasgow and Stirling?

Yes, across Scotland including Falkirk, Lanarkshire, Dunbartonshire, Renfrewshire and Perthshire, and Edinburgh on request.
