Casement Windows Glasgow: A-Rated uPVC From £550, Fitted by Our Own Team
The casement is Glasgow’s everyday window: the 1930s semis of Knightswood and King’s Park, the post-war terraces of Castlemilk and Drumchapel, the newer estates in Newton Mearns and Robroyston, and the back windows of half the city’s tenements. Most were last replaced twenty or thirty years ago and are now cold, stiff and single-locked.
We replace them with VEKA casement windows: A-rated, multi-point locked, made to measure and fitted by our own installers, from £550 per window fully fitted including VAT. Our Glasgow showroom is five minutes from the city centre at Kinning Park.
Built for Glasgow homes
1930s semis and bungalows. Bays, sculptured profiles and woodgrain or cream foils suit them, including the front bay.
Post-war and ex-council homes. Large openings, often with old single-glazed aluminium or first-generation uPVC. A modern VEKA casement transforms the warmth of these houses.
Tenement back windows. Casements are common at the rear of tenements; we work from inside and can quote per flat or per close.
Main-road homes. Great Western Road, Paisley Road West, Cathcart Road, the Clydeside: acoustic glazing typically achieves 40 to 45 dB against 30 to 35 for standard glazing, roughly halving what you hear.
Conservation areas. The West End, Pollokshields and Dennistoun have rules on replacement windows. A flush casement in a heritage colour is often the most straightforward route; we’ll advise before you apply.

Your questions answered
How long does a full house take in Glasgow?
A three-bedroom semi is typically two days. A tenement flat is usually one. Our own team handles access and makes good internally.
Can you do the bay at the front and casements at the back?
Yes, in matching profile and colour, with a welded cill on the bay.
Do I need consent in a conservation area?
Often, yes. Glasgow City Council has guidance on replacement windows in conservation areas; a flush casement in a heritage colour is often the most straightforward route. We’ll advise before you apply.
Why do windows get condensation, and will new windows stop it?
Condensation forms when warm, moist indoor air meets a cold surface. New A-rated windows are much warmer on the inside so it drops dramatically, but because they’re also far more airtight, moisture that used to leak out now stays in the house. Ventilation fixes it: trickle vents, extractor fans and airing rooms briefly each day. Condensation on the outside of new glass on a cold morning is a good sign; between the panes means a failed sealed unit, which is covered by guarantee.
Do you cover outside Glasgow?
Yes. Greater Glasgow, and across Scotland by arrangement.
