Aluminium Windows Glasgow: Slim Frames, Any Colour, From £1,200 Fitted
Glasgow is building: rear extensions on West End tenement conversions, glazed gables on Southside villas, new builds in Bearsden and Newton Mearns, and warehouse conversions in Finnieston and the Merchant City. Aluminium is the window for all of it: frames much slimmer than uPVC, glass almost to the edge, any colour, and a system that matches the bifolds, sliders and roof lantern on the same wall.
We fit Sheerline and Cortizo aluminium windows from £1,200 per window fully fitted including VAT, installed by our own team. Come and compare aluminium and uPVC frames side by side at our Kinning Park showroom.
Built for Glasgow homes
Extensions. The most common Glasgow aluminium job: a rear extension with aluminium windows, bifolds or a slider, and a Sheerline roof lantern, all in one system and one colour. Our Glasgow showroom has a roof lantern and a lift and slide door on display.
Villas and townhouses. Pollokshields, Bearsden, Milngavie, Dowanhill: large-format aluminium on the garden elevation, colour-matched uPVC on the street elevation where a conservation area requires it.
Conversions. Finnieston, Merchant City, Speirs Wharf: slim aluminium with glazing bars for an industrial, steel-look finish.
New builds. Cortizo’s hidden-sash window, where every pane looks identical whether it opens or not, suits clean contemporary designs.
Main roads. Acoustic glazing available in both systems.

Sheerline or Cortizo?
Sheerline for a matching Sheerline extension (windows, bifolds, slider, lantern). Cortizo for the hidden-sash look, where every pane matches. We’ll help you choose at Kinning Park.
Can I mix aluminium and uPVC?
Yes; many Glasgow homes have aluminium on the extension and colour-matched uPVC on the rest.
Are aluminium windows cold?
Not any more. Both systems are thermally broken and A-rated.
Why do windows get condensation, and will new windows stop it?
Condensation forms when warm, moist indoor air meets a cold surface. New A-rated windows are much warmer on the inside so it drops dramatically, but because they’re also far more airtight, moisture that used to leak out now stays in the house. Ventilation fixes it: trickle vents, extractor fans and airing rooms briefly each day. Condensation on the outside of new glass on a cold morning is a good sign; between the panes means a failed sealed unit, which is covered by guarantee.
Do you cover outside Glasgow?
Yes. Greater Glasgow, and across Scotland by arrangement.
